The balance between Melee and Ki Attacks.

So, I've been thinking, melee in this version will be fast paced no matter what kind you choose to do, however, how will Ki Attacks suffer from it? In 1.2, the only thing you could do after hitting someone was shoot a generic beam/ball and ki blasts given the time to charge of those.
So I'm wondering, will anything change regarding Ki Blasts? Like, will the more hits I give, the faster it will charge? Will the Bonus system change anything?

There are plans to tie the bonus system in to the KI attacks. There are also other systems in place to make the game faster with KI attacks, along with the beam guidance and homing abilities to ball attacks.

But all in all id say while beams are an option they serve more as a support of the melee system itself. It will not be possible to enter a server and dominate it with beams like it is in 1.2, but the beams themselves can still be a very real threat if used properly.
