Taking screens of video files

Wel i wanted to make a naruto signature,
but i cant take screenshots from video files...µ

When i press 'print screen', and paste into paint
The picture is black or when my the vid is stil playing
it plays further in paint too...

Any help please

Get a program called "virtual dub". Load the file into it and move it to the desired spot in the file. Print screen, cut and paste, and blow it up in something good like photoshop or PSP if you have them.

Or, if you're using Windows Media Player to play movie files, simply hit Ctrl+I at any time to make a screenshot.

Or get something that makes the Video file into a .gif file so you can take out teh images!

Like unlead gif animator or Animation shop 3

This works and its verry simple, but i have a problem with windows media player ...
it plays al my files... ...upside down :(
anyone know how to change this :rolleyes:

Edit: virtual dub is a great program, thnxs for the help guys :)

get the right codecs

www.divx.com

and google for Xvid. it should bring the screen back to normal.

those are 2 different codecs which should solve it.

if your trying to take pics in media player, make sure you first go to tools>options>performance and set video acceleration to none.
