Well people when i reserved taiketsu in FREAKIN September I saw it was comin out in october. So i was happy. Then it got moved back yo NOV 19.....ok sooo they must be making it better....THEN they move it to NOV 25!!!!!! I almost got my money back but i waited.....and to say the least....IM glad i did.
the screenshots for the game don't do it justice folks.
Now the game IS NOT LIKE BUDOKAI....like lots of people thought. It's more like street fighter in the way combos and ki attacks are done.
There are 15 characters lets see if i get em all.
Goku
Gohan
Piccolo
Krillin
Vegeta
Trunks
Andriod 18
Radditz
Nappa
Freiza
Cell
Gotenks
Buu
Brolly
Andriod 16
Those are the guys....nowlets get to the fighting....The game IS HARD when start out. The combos are very hard untill you think a bit.
When you get the game you get a poster now open it and turn it over....There they put 1 move for each character. The combos after that arent that difficult.
There are four types of ki attacks
Ki blast- just a normal ki blast
Regular Ki attack...this your character will do a kame or somthing
Super Ki Attack- your character has a huge gold arua sorround him
Ultimate Ki attack- your character has the aura but this one takes all of your energy to do.
Im going to go ahead and give you a taste of a a few attacks
Kamehameha (for everyone that can do it) Down, rightdown, Right, Down, rightdown, Right
Youll find that typing in the directions one at a time wont do jack @#$!. So you pretty much just rub your thumb over the pad in the directions and youll get it
To launch the attacks you either have to press B or L. B is for the weaker attacks usually and L for the larger ones. There is a normal Kame for goku if you use B. If you do the kame combo and press L you get a super KAMEHAMEHA. And you may even stumble upon the spirit bomb while your trying this.
The game is actually very fun if you can figure out your characters combos. Try this: Once you unlock somone go into sparring mode and just fool around with button combos (BUTTON MASH) i found most of the combos that way.
OK so for the statistical people out there
Graphics-4 (better than I thought they would be but still not prefect)
Sound-5 (the songs are great on there Kami's lookout music is gohans pissed tune)
Controls-4 (they dont suck they are actually great, once you get some combos figured out youll agree.)
Fun-5 (this game IS FUN PEOPLE, dont listen to anyone, again once you get the combos figured out youll enjoy the game 100% more)
Overall-4.5 Great little game. It keeps you comin back for more and they avoided a big problem
Some games have the secret characters be a nobody but for this one the last few characters you can unlock are Cell,Buu,Andriod16,Brolly. See all very coll characters that will keep you fighting for their control.
Well I hope everyone likes the review, I tried not to give to much of the game play away so that you would go buyit and see for yourself
