the req are not the same as hl, esf is far more grapicly intensive. maps are higher r_speeds, modles are higher poly than dod or cs, and then we have beams and other such fx. so, we will try to find a min req and recomened req and get it posted soon.

Just be glad esf in on the hl engine... imagine if it was on the doom 3 engine.... O_O

You would never be able to play it :p

Thanks Zero for the information I knew it was not Half Life system requirements its just too much detailed stuff in the game.

So I laugh at everyone who laughed at me for asking it.

Thank god i just built my new rig.

Athlon XP 1800+ 512mb DDR, Geforce 4 Ti 4200 DDR, 40gb hd, etc... Cant wait to play it.

;/ its still on half life u will not need a gf4 or 512ram to run it well, a 16m 200year old ati card would work just as fine

Three major things change this mods requirements from HL.

Fill Rate
How well your video board handles water and high R_Speeds
Texture load time.

Older PCI boards will have a hard time on two specific maps I can think of (though the rest are fine), there are a lot of custom textures, and old boards choke on texture loads. High R_Speeds are a problem too, especially with water maps.

Of course you could run the original HL on a 8MB RAM video board . . . but you won't wan't to try that here.

Yes you can run it on a bad rig, but you will suffer.
