I don't know where you found out that Cell absorbed Goku

Cell is made up of different peoples cells, picollo for regeneration, vegeta for getting stronger at near death experiences and so on... thats why cell can use kamehameha i think.. (not too sure)

He gain Instant Transmission by taking some of Goku's cells (I mean cells that he needed like instant transmission) when they blew up
Absorbing on the other hand is a totally different thing
