This isn't a pure character addition. Rather, under certain conditions, Samus will "remove" her Power Suit. Whoa! That's a woman under there!

Naturally, Zero Suit Samus loses power and stamina, so she should fight using the speed she gains instead.
Also, her gun transforms and can be used as a whip. Of the two, one might consider the whip to be her main weapon.

And don't worry—you'll still be able to play as standard Samus, too.

Man...On the main site, they act like the only new characters are going to be the five we've seen. You can even look at the characters page, where all the slots are filled up, and those are the only characters there. I want to see what the new Donkey Kong looks like, as well as the new Star Fox. Who else thinks they should show us more =/? I'm thinking those might be the only characters they've gotten done so far, but oh well. If they have more done, I wish they would show it .

It's logical for them to work on the new charas first, or at least show them first. That creates some hype (OMFG SOLID SNAAAAAKE!!!).

To the general public, new characters are more interesting than old ones.
