Strange Superstitions

Any of you guys have an weird superstitions that really don't make any sense? For example, I have a weird one where the number of letters in a map name effect how it will look ingame, haha. It seems true for me so far.

I can never walk over 3 consecutive drains, even when cycling I swerve to avoid them. I have no idea why. Whenever I walk over the third drain I get a nasty shiver and feel like something bads going to happen. Of course, if I swerve and hit a car instead then i'll die either way, so I just don't go outside anymore.

Yours is still weirder though, how many letters for a good map? My maps suck, this could be the pick-me-up I need

Hah, it depends on recent previous compiles. Currently, it is six for a test map, and ten for a final.

Have you ever felt that the people around you can read your minds? Like you can be thinking of something... and coencidently, a person next to you reacts to it? I've had that done several times.

Like one time this girl was sitting beside me. I was thinking about her and how i was gonna ask her out. Then she turned and looked at me and smiled... and wrote on a paper "I want to go out with you."

And the other when i was arguin with my sister... and i thought "Dummy" and she turned and said "You a dummy" not in a replied repeat manner... just saying it out the blue... my heart skipped a beat and i was kinda scared for .0002823 seconds.

I have numerous... but i can see my story bores you =/

Heh actually, you probably said that and hallucinated thinking you didn't! I've actually done that a few times.

Sometimes, I'd have a dream. A few days later, my dream would come to life. A deja-vu kind of thing. Very weird. I actually knew what my friend was going to say before he said it.

I got some of them.

I have to do certain things always double of quattro times.(dunno if that writing is right).
Like when i clap my hands 1 time i have to do it again in the right way, if the tone of that clap isnt the same as before i have to do it again but this times for each tone. Thats really annoying , Even when i eat, sometimes i have to count how many times i chewed on a site, if the number isnt straight (like 2,4,6,8) i have do it again.

One time i was sitting in my room and had the same TV prog on as my dad (my TV captured the signal 1 second earlier then their TV) in the living room, (small apartment) well he was ironing the clothes, and he stopped and was about to say something, so i just said " I know that my TV is Faster then your", he didnt even said something, he was shocked when i knowed already what he wanted to say.
But it shocked me too, cause it just popped into my mind to say that.

I also have lots of Deja-Vus stuff, it happens quite often, but its also scary, but they are only 2-5 seconds then they are gone again.
But they still are correct.

i remember watching christina (spanish talk show) with my mom a long time ago and some guy said that whenever someone says something, i forgot what, he has to grab his right ball and knock on wood or some bull**** like that

I used to have a strange superstition. When I walked on the streets, I alllways put one foot on one tile. I allways avoided stepping on more at the same time. Whenever i did hit 2 or more, I was convinced something awefull was going to happen.

get these wierd dreams and when i do have one BAM! It comes true. The only major one i got last night is how to avoid fights go figure on that.

Another as stated get the " i can read your dang mind" trick. Except i do it. :laff: Its really cool because it also mixes in with my dream sequances. Like a girl will talk to me and ill know everything she'll say and say the right things. I love my wierd mind

Sometimes im kinda dreaming/daydreaming and like im walking or skateboarding or something and like I hit a crack and fall and like all the sudden I wake up and like jump.

Also I get some deja-vu. Like sometimes im talking to someone or doing something and I just know for some reason that i've seen it happen before or i've done it before.

Also sometimes i'll have a song in my head and i'll be singing it....than all the sudden I turn on the radio and thats the song.

Don't step on cracks in the ground. Otherwise the earth will open up and swallow you whole. I haven't dared to test this theory.

some times i get this weird feeling when someone is about to enter a room or if someone is near its strange and latelty ive bin making predictions on crap and some are true like 50% quite strange

When I day/night dream (never happend at day) I just lay on my bed awake, I can see but I have a dream in my mind even though I still can see it's odd at the end I just jump up it's weird.

I don't walk on those giant vent/grate things in the middle of sidewalks.

My grandmother is very superstitious, so i know alot of them. Like if your walking down the street and you see a penny lying on the ground, look if it's heads up then take it and it will bring to good luck. If you pick-up a heads down penny it will bring you bad luck. Thats one of the wierd ones. She also believes in all those other wierd things like breaking mirrors will give you bad luck and walking under a latter. She scares me sometimes......

all this stuff about walking on cracks and stuff and grates, drains manhole covers, one of my friends has really bad, its an obbsessive compulsive disorder an actual condition, and it is very serious for him, even though he sees someone to help him with it

i used to think if you stepped on a sewer thing that you would turn into a monkey... thats what my kindergarden teacher told me and i believed her and was actually terrified hahahaha no joke and its not funny

I refuse to intentionally kill anything unless it threatens my health, IE mosquitos(screw you West Nile!) or if I was to be attacked by something and killing it was the only way)
I don't know if this falls into the superstition category or not, but I'll still say it.
