Steam Problem...Kinda bad too....

Okay heres the story....I went to steam and I got an error message that said unable to connect to steam network...I cant do anything until I get this fixed so please someone help...Oh Ill tell you exactly what the error message said since Im bored, it said EXACTLY-
Could not connect to Steam Network.
This could be due to a problem with your internet connection, or with the
Steam Network.Please visit steampowered.com for more information.

I did that already and it didnt help...What puzzles me is that it was workin fine yesterday....Please help guys....

For starters, how do you know that?
Secondly, it may have actually been the steam network - it's not possible to have it running 24/7 you know
