I download and install steam right? And it won't open.I uninstall and try again,same problem.I delete and redownload everything,same problem.What's going on?

If you go into your Task Manager (Ctrl + Alt + Del) after trying to run Steam, is there a process named "Steam.exe" listed?

No it isn't.I just tried.It shows the little icon of the hour glass then the icon goes away.It refuses to open.

Try to uninstall steam, then remove all of the steam registrys from the registry editor (run -> regedit, or just download some registry cleaner program and delete the steam registrys with it). And install again... GL!

deactivate all antivirus/firewall programms that could block the steam.exe . GL!
