Steam connection help?

This is related not only to ESF, but all of my STEAM games. I am getting this new error that says that steam cannot contact the master game server. This has never happened before and it is happening to all my friends in the dorm that I live in. I know that my school isn't causing the problem becuase the schoold ADMIN swears that he is allowing STEAM to work. Becuase of this error I cannot see any servers for ESF and the servers in my favorite section all show up with 2000 ping.

Most ESF servers aren't on steam because people still prefer won

Its not that!!! I USED to be able to see the ESF servers. IN ALL of my STEAM games I USED to be able to see servers,. but now it gives me this "could contact master game server" error and no regualr game servers show up in my list.

Yeah I see no games at all, I don't even know if I use steam or won...
