The problem with being a sphere is that their is something outside the sphere
what's outside a sphere shaped universe?

On another note,
If I had a box containing nothing, lock it away for about 20 milion years and someone else would open it
what would be in it?

Nothing..

So where exactly did the materials the universe is made off come from?
Everything has to start somewhere - nothing has ever just been so that's one of the things that boggles me

I believe scientists have been able to spontaneously create matter from a vacuum, which would certainly explain it. Don't ask me for a reference though because I honestly don't remember where I heard it.
And no I'm not making it up =p
