Sound bug

I dont know whether this is a half-life bug or esf but when i have EAX sound enabled, whenever i go into water and then come back out the sound is completely muffled. Anyone know how to fix? (Yes I do have an EAX 1 and 2 compadable card)

maybe your speakers are worn out, meaning you need new ones, either that or you are having your sound level up to high,

also make sure the speaker wire is psuhed in all teh way in teh back of the computer
