Sonic and Saiyans?

Has ne1 other than me notice that when sonic charges up he looks like a super saiyan?

Have I discovered what the saiyan evolved from?

Saiyans evolved similar to humans, from the greater apes of their homeworld. That is probably why Saiyans and Humans are genetically compatable. The Explanation for them still having tails escapes me.

Sonic i believe is a Genetic Experiment.

Anyway, the Saiya-jin have tails because they do...
Its just part of their anatomy.
Plus, their tail contains glands that, when contacted by radiation emitted by the light of a full moon, allows them to transform into gigantic apes..their Oozaru form

I read that little tidbit in the manga

Anyway....Sonic turns gold when he becomes Super Sonic for no special reason, most likely.
Maybe the creators were paying homage to DBZ....
Or maybe they just thought Sonic looked cool when they turned him gold and gave him more spikes

when sonic gathers all the chaos emeralds (8 of um) he has to get 50 rings and then he can turn into super sonic....

and sonic was a normal brown hedgehog untill a lab acident in eggmans lab made all fast and blue... and when he turns super he becomes gold cause the designers liked dbz...

After i saw this thread, and though for a awhile. I dug out my old genesis, loaded up S2 and tried to find every diffenrent way possible to Kill sonic. It was fun.
