Well they won't swell out but I think they will actually sell out on launch, sure there's going to be many more shipments after that so after a week or two it won't be too hard to find the wii...

I can wait till next year to get one. Right now its not a big deal because the game library isn't that big yet and I'm sure by April(Around my b-day) it will be a lot easier to get one. I might pick up a Wii earlier then that if I can find one sitting on the shelves which I'm sure I will be able to since nintendo knew there was going to be a high demand for these things and planned ahead.

The Wiimote is 44.99, and the Nunchuck is sold seperately for 29.99. These prices are in Canadian btw. It comes out to being 10 bucks more than a wireless 360 controller, and it's probably about the same in US dollars.

Just got back from my local BestBuy, over a hundred people there, mind you it was reported that the store only had 27 units. There where cops and everything. I got there 15 mins early, no plans to actually buy one, because for one im broke, and for two the line was huge and only a few ps3s to go around, and I would never buy a release console...

Anyway, it was awesome, some dude drove by in his black little chevy cobalt and screamed out something like "Stupid ****ing retards standing outside for a damn PS3!! haha!!" and drove off. The crowd, ofcourse, responded with a "Your just pissed because you can't afford one", and the police drove by and the people in line got his attention and told the cop the guy was flicking them off and harassing them and he put his sirens on and pulled him over. It was awesome, the crowd went crazy, laughing and clapping. I'm so glad I was in the neighborhood. Anyway, I only had a cellphone on hand to snap a quick pic.

Can't see much, but I wanted something to show I was there, it's historical to gamers. I stayed there till the first 10 people walked out. There was a news crew waiting and walked out with the first person to get one. Just glad I was there, even though I don't plan on getting one till next year, when they're cheaper and MGS4 is out .

I don't think either is worth camping out for. The PS3 display we have freezes 4-5 times a day and takes 3-4 minutes to recognize the controller again after it reboots, and we didn't get an interactive Wii, which from the videos I've seen doesn't appear to be as glamorous as I was expecting. I'd rather read reviews and see how the systems handle after they've been mass marketed. Besides, PS3 shipments were cut dramatically so camping, much like preordering from EBgames, is an exercise in futility (we're the second largest Target in Arizona and we're getting 8).

I'm tempted to get a 360 or a Wii but the reason seemed abit artificial. I'm stickin wit Sony and will get a PS3 (when possible)... they did right last time and so far I see nothing wrong. If it was my way I'd honestly love to have all three, they all do have their own great aspects.

Too bad I have no possible way of getting online with consoles. *sigh* v_v .....Money don't stretch long enough.

Because the seller knows it's going to be over 1k. The hardcore bidding on eBay generally doesn't happen until the last hour.

Ebay will not allow the sale of PS3s today. Sony made a deal with them to boot all of those transactions off whether they go through or not, so there wont be any prophit made on PS3s online for a while. They're trying to keep the system accessible to the public because there are so few units that they aren't going to make a return if half of them are on ebay.
