an admin should move this.

Depends on which type of router you have. Please state.

indeed depends each router has its system, there is a way to open ports but u have to know those things :

ur gateway and ur internal IP
my gateway is 10.0.0.138
my internal ip is 10.0.0.1

basicly what I do is go to "start"------>"run" and then I type "telnet 10.0.0.138" (but u should type ur gateway :)
then it asks u for username, I dont have any so I press enter but if u have a username u should know :)
then u do the next thing:

nat defserver addr "ur internal ip here"
nat save
system
reboot

exit the window and wait till ur router reboots, u should be done, I cannot guarrante it works man... but thats what works in my router!

Steam uses ports 27000 to 27060 and port 1200, not sure if they are TCP or UDP so just open both.

Open those and you should be fine.

its diffrent for all people. Like, for example, linksys is 192.168.1.1
Then you type in admin for the password. (no username)
Click Advanced.
Click forwarding.
ONLY FORWARD 27015 through 27015 on the UDP channel.
To figure out your ip config, either run MsDOS or Command prompt (depends on your version of windows) and type in ipconfig
Take the last 3 numbers of the IP address and place it in the window your ports are opening.
Click activate and then click save changes (Depends on your firmware version) and you are done.

Now remember this is diffrent for ALL routers, so that is why I asked which one are you using.

Go to 192.168.1.1
The password is admin
Click Applications & Gaming
Go to the first row of the input section they gave you
For the range use 27015 as both the start and the end
The protocol will be UDP
Now open "Command Prompt" or "MsDOS" (depending on which version of windows) and type in ipconfig.
Look at the IP address and take the last 3 numbers.
Place them in the IP address slot of the firewall.
Click enable (the box)
Scroll down and click save settings
Start up the server and have fun

Is the IP address configured to your ipconfig?

I was pretty straight forward by telling you to use the ipconfig. I asked if the ip address you put in the firewall matches your ipconfig ip address. I told you everything on the post.
