I used to use a program called Fraps that could take screenies and record clips of me playing in-game, that was useful when i played games in 640 * 480, which is the only resolution Fraps records video in

does anyone know of another program that can record a video of me playing at any resolution

Your best bet is to record a demo and then convert it to an avi by replaying it and taking a bmp for every frame
