I dont know if this really belongs to just Off-Topic or to the Video Game part, but ill just post it here, so you can move it if you want...
Well we all know sites that create reviews about the newest games, and sometimes we agree with themâ¦but sometimes, we donât agree with them at all. They are always the proffesionals, and we are the actual gamers...
So I made this thread so you can make your own reviews about any game you want (whether itâs a very old game, or a new game, tell us your opinion)
So basicallyâ¦do it somewhat like this (Iâm gonna review the first game I guess X_x)
(If you need certain facts about a game (like the publisher) check http://www.gamespot.com/, if you need a host if you want to add any pictures, use http://www.imageshack.us )
Btw, I donât think you should make previews (reports about games that are yet to be released) since you donât know much about that game such as game play yet, and if you did know the gameplay you would probably have it from a site

Story
You were a rich young boy living in a large house. One day a pirate comes storming in your house and takes your family as prisoners, they wanted to take you as well, but were able to run away before they could get you. After several years, you start thinking of your family again and you want to save your family. But you donât have any money, so you go to the nearby Tavern and ask the barkeeper if you can sign up with any fleets. You can then chose between the English, French, Dutch or Spanish. When you chose a fleet you and your captain will set out on sea. After a while on sea, you notice that the captain is treating all your fellow pirates very bad. So a mutiny starts, you kick the old captain off the ship and embark on a journey to save your lost family.
Gameplay: 8.0
The gameplay is awesome, you can fight like real pirates, you can sail like real pirates, and when your bored of being a pirate you can make a huge fleet of ships as well and start trading to gain a lot of money. Tough the bad side isâ¦fighting can get pretty boring after a while, there are only like 5 different swordfight maps, 1 on the front side of a ship, 1 on the backside, 1 in the middle, 1 in the tavern and 1 on a fountain, after seeing these, sword fighting can get a bit boring.
But this game doesnât stay at swordfights and sea battles, no you can also have mini wars when you try to capture a town, the more pirates you have at your disposal and the less soldiers the enemy has, the more chance you have to capture the enemy town and make the property of the fleet you work for (French, Dutch, English or Spanish)
In this mini war, you have 3 different âsoldiersâ
-Buccaneers, which can fire from 2 spaces with guns
-The normal Pirates, who just close in on the enemy and attack
-The Officers, these are the somewhat stronger pirates
Too bad that there isnt any online ability either, would be cool to fight against eachother online...
Graphics: 9.0
The graphics of this game look pretty good, reflective water, the ships are in nice detail and in the towns and fights your pirate looks awesome. The animations are done nice as well, tough sometimes the angle of your sails look a bit weird when you come near a storm.
Sound: 9.0
The sounds are actually pretty nice, especially the talking, it almost sounds like The Sims. The sounds of the swordfights are nice as well, you can hear the swords touch each other when 2 pirates are fighting, you can hear the sea while you sail and you can hear the storms as you pass them.
Total: 8.8
The game is well made, but after sometime it gets boring since you see the same fight over and over, tough you can set the difficulty degree higher so the fights get harder as well. They should have made fightingâs a bit more interesting by adding some more strategy in it.
Anyway, if you do like pirates and pirate fights, this is defiantly a game you should buy in the store near you.
