Sorry but I'm clueless, I didn't use adobe long enough to know more than the basics of it, I suggest you get the sony vegas 8.0 trial version of 30 days.
Yeah I have that as well actually, but so far if I can use adobe I will simply because i've used it long enough to know how to do everything i need to.

I'm using a different form of rendering, if it comes out really high quality i'll do as you said. If it comes out like crap then I'll just completely redo it with Vegas 8 :) So i'll keep you updated.

Thanks a lot for the help. It's very appreciate it.

:EDIT:

Okay for funzies I'm going to try out Vegas 8, do the exact same thing as what i did on adobe, and see how it turns out.

So before I do that, I'm having trouble figuring out how to render it uncompressed. I can't seem to find that option. Any help would be great. thanks.

My apologies for the bump but I'd really like to try and figure this out >.<

Okay here's the problem: I am currently using Adobe Premier pro 2.0. Reason being; it works great for me. It's extremely user friendly, and I did give Vegas 8 a shot but it was so much more different than Premier pro I just couldn't seem to figure anything out. Though it does seem to do a lot more and it's got a lot of nifty features, for me it's also more complicated to work.

Long story short, I couldn't figure out how to do pretty much ANYTHING in Vegas and I know how to do everything in Premier pro. I use it, it works.

Okay so on to the problem. Exporting. I have the video edited exactly how I want it. There's a beginning introduction, the video, text where it's appropriate. Sped up where appropriate and of course an ending with credits.

It's a very simple, basic little movie to help me start out learning (if i finish it, i'd like to upload it to you guys so you can see it).

Now when I try to export it it always came out crappy. You guys told me that Premier pro's rendering is ****, and I learned quick that you're all right. So I'm trying to figure out how to render it uncompressed. However I can't find anything that says "render uncompressed".

Here are my options of rendering:

Export to DvD
Export to EDL
Export to Adobe Media Encoder.

Going to Adobe Media Encoder used to work. It doesn't any more for some reason, and everything I have tried is futile.

So once I figure out how to render this uncompressed I should be able to handle it from there >.<. Thanks for the help so far!

When I first tried out Vegas, I first looked at it and I said "****". Lol, it's easy once you know what you're going to make. Just think of Vegas as Photoshop but in a different layout.

@Cosaga sorry but I misinterpreted, I was reffering that vegas has an uncompresed rendering function.
Also just watch one, max 2 youtube vegas tutorial videos to figure out the layout of the program.
Here's my tip: Vegas is a seeries of tabs, not the kind of tabs that lead to other tabs, just tabs filled with stuff, good stuff.

@Lith hell yea :p

edit: Cosaga could you give some examples on what editing did you manage to do in adobe but not in vegas?

Basically my response was the exact same as Lith's. I couldn't figure out how to make a title. I couldn't figure out how to speed up certain parts of the video. Or how to do transitions. or how to put text into the video so I could explain what was going on.

For me Adobe Premier was just utterly simple for me to use. As I'm brand new to this it was definitely more user friendly than Vegas. I still have vegas on my computer so i won't give up on it yet.

Lion, could you tell me how to export something uncompressed on Vegas please? That'd be great.

Really sorry I missed your post! Thats why it took so long for me to reply.

Titles are in the Media Generator Tab => Text

You right click the clip go to proprieties and I believe you can speed it up there.

If you mean save a video in an uncompressed version then yes I know how. It's slightly tricky but easy once you do it. Once you finish editing the video, you save the project ( because it won't work if you try to render it now) Then once you save the project, you close vegas then open the project, then you render it and chose from the bar uncompressed.

. . . Wow, thank you. You have been, by far, the most helpful person in this thread. Thanks A LOT!
