Really Weird "CD Key Invalid" Bug/Error

Ok, I've installed and updated ESF 1.2, and it worked ok (cept for a tendancy to simply close down without warning if I have more than two or three bots going at once), and then now, without me actually changing anything, whenever I try and play ESF, I get a message saying "Half Life CD Key Invalid".

Now I always just make a LAN game and play against bots, not on the internet. The single player for the original half-life works, and the LAN multiplayer for the original works, but as soon as I try a LAN multi for ESF, I get that message, and I've tried multiple different CD keys but to no avail.

Any ideas?

Well you are using steam right? If you are just using WON Half Life, then I doubt you can find help.

If you are using steam..are you using a valid legal CD Key?

If you are playing on Steam, someone has stolen your CD Key and invalidated it (through whatever idiotic method).

That part lends me to think you don't have a valid cdkey. Do you?

I could understand if i had a legit key and someone stole it, id admit to downloading a keygen and trying multiple keys myself... thats if my legit doesnt work anymore.

Somewhat agreed, I don't like Valve's policies regarding invalidated keys.

I signed up for STEAM asap, because I didn't want a keygen to nab my key.
