quick skeleton question

hi i just started modeling in general i read some tuts but i have one quick question, can you use any skeleton from any hl mod, or you have to use only the ones from esf, iam just asking because its hard for me to outline a model thats just standing still with the arms down, iam jus wondering if i can use a skeleton thats has the arms spread out like a cross or like the one from the cs girl tut, if there is a skeleton i can use please tell :]

you can use the skeleton if the arms are spread out, you need to mode the models arms out though. the models arms need to be aligned with the skeleton or the animations will be all deformed.
