Well, the general idea of a clan is to play games together and or participate in competitions. So for example, you and your friends could be in a clan by playing games as a team.

Starting one is so very easy. You need nothing but members although a website is useful.

Lastly, you need a tag of some sort and a name. Experiment with tags ( like [esf] ) and see what you can come up with.

A clan is a group of people who play a game together in a team-like fashion. All you need to start a clan is a name for yourself, some people to start it with, and then, I guess, some times to set up a server so that others can try out for your clan. Also, having a website for your clan helps to organize events and the clan itself. And, unless you know all of your clan members locally, yes, a clan is over the internet, because a clan generally fights another clan.

Its not serious, unless you enter a league or a ladder of some sort. If you just play another cland without a league, it is called a friendly.

if you are in a very very good clan for the game Counter Strike for example. you can actually win money prizes or get sponsored by a company. so it can be very competetive but also very fun . its just a group with people you like etc. and in games like Tribes 2 (which I played) we had a great time, everybody knew what position someone played, and we all know how good we were together etc. its very much fun

yeah, i've started a clan! i have a name, but it sounds stupid: children of destruction, too much hunger for action, sounds like vegeta i have two members! if anyone wants to join, (8 members maximal, goku and trunks are taken) let me know.
