Well, the reason you dont see 20 year old men walkign around with the gameboy is becuase the gameboy itself is geared toward kids, not the whole portable gaming market.
That's right, I'm 28 with a GBA, so I can't possibly enjoy a GBA or DS . . . 9 times out of 10, I'm playing my console, of which I have both the PS2 and GC. When I do find the time to play, I'm usually at home. Portability is not very marketable in adults, because frankly I DRIVE THE CAR. I WORK. I don't have time for portable, and what time I make is done with my GBA. Honestly, the more important things to me like durability and simple minded fun, are readily available on a Nintendo product. If I have the urge to bust out some Snake action, it will be on my PS2/GC. If I want to watch a movie, it will be on my DVD player.

The sad fact is, Sony aimed for a market that doesn't exsist. Everyone my age that I know would rather have a console than a handheld, and what few want the handheld don't want buggy equipment.

As Hib pointed out, the WiFi capabilities are identicle, both sport 802.11b wireless, so stfu about PSP having superior wireless they are 100% the same spec. You could argue that the PSP has some imaginary edge, but then I see nightmarishly small battery life when you use wireless on the PSP.

As far as the GBA is concerned, it's nice but not all the games have the pretty going, and they still use cartridges. While PSP's drive is nice, the UMD drive causes battery problems, one of the Metal Gear Ac!d devs complained about it. You better hope they deliver a new version with manlier batteries.

Thus far I am not impressed with the PSP, nor do I feel I need to upgrade my GBA with a DS. As far as I'm concerned, the PSP needed more dev time, and Nintendo didn't try hard enough with the time they had.

PSP is a sad little, knee-jerk attempt to break the big N completely, and it shows, horribly. The PSP 2 ought to rock though, provided they begin development faster than the next Nintendo handheld.

DS is a sad attempt at outmuscleing their own GBA machine, and it shows. They needed a PSP killer, not a GBA competitor.

Then again, Nintendo has won tighter handheld console wars with the worst hardware of the group. (Lynx, Nomad, WonderSwan, WonderSwan color . . . )
