What do you all use? i have little experience in such 3d programs as 3d studios max. Ii am comfortable with the work space. What program is best for modelling characters for esf.

you can animate, skinmap, compile, decompile, prettymuch everything you ned to do for HL models with this program without having to download any other plugins,

probabaly the simplest way to go
