Well I seem to have a huge problem, I have a Dell 8400 3.4 ghz, 1gb ram, and the nvidia 6800 GT 256 mb and the Sound Blaster® Audigy™ 2 ZS. Now the problem is that every time I play on steam, no matter what game it is, my Internet dies, so then I close the game, and if I try to do ctrl alt delete I get a, "windows application error The application failed to initialize properly (0x00000017) click ok to terminate the application"
so then I restart my PC and I get a blue screen and it has like ctiss2k.sys error with a **** load of numbers. and I have updated all my drivers and everything works fine. But this is just random but it does it all the time, sometimes I wont even get the blue screen just the internet dying and I cant ctrl alt delete. If anyone here has any idea of what the hell is going on I would appreciate it. because I have talked to many people and I just cant figure this out.

well , if your internet dies , i guess it could be your router/modem overheating , or the lan card/onboard lan is ethier rooted or has not been setup properly , do a clean "restore" of your computer (those dam dell fools & there dodgie comps that) btw , most corprate compainies coms suck , there care about selling cheap crappy coms and making lot's of money , jacking up the price for support that 25% of there customers complain about , and i hate them so much , since they always & or most of the time , give u a crap gfx card or use onboard graphics , you probaly put the 6800gt in yourself i presume , it voids your warranty if you modify there setups

restore to factory setup , get latest drivers for everything , reinstall your programs and see what happens , & by the what's your isp for your internet connection ? some isps dslams rn't so good (due to telestra over here in aus usally taking slow time to adopt new internet connections , but with adsl2 they promised to upgrade there dslams a while before adsl2 is released) i9t also could be your router is not setup properly (if u r using a router) , if i were you i would contact the isp that supplied you with the modem & to try a replacement one and or just get a new router (don't come begging to me for money hehe , i don't even give money to hobos on the street , lol)

Does this happen when and only when you're using Steam to play online?

First of all Overlord, you are not a moderator, it is not your place to tell people not to double post.

Second of all, I've just about had it with your 'holier than thou' attitude. Stop flaming people. Calling someone a noob is a flame. Flaming gets you warning, so with that said, here is a warning for flaming HELLRAISER01 :warning:.

And by the way HELLRAISER01, please don't double post to bump your threads. Eventually someone will answer.

Yes I am very sorry for the double post and I thank you all for posting but yes I did some testing and it only seems to happen with steam. As for my router over heating, when my PC’s internet goes down its only my PC all the others are all still up (I have 4 including mine) and my ISP is Charter here in Dallas/Fort Worth Texas and I have a 3 mb service. and is there any program I can get that will log my PC and all the errors and programs that are running when this problem occurs?
