I've been posting and noticed that sometimes it doesn't record it. Or I notice that my post count drops after awhile...I have an idea why it might happen but I just wanted to clearify it with anyone/everyone.

When you post in Off-topic it does not count your post. All other sections count posts. I'm not really sure why it would go down at all, a mod messing with you perhaps. Other than that it shouldnt.

Maybe old or spam post get deleted.

Mods don't have access to the post counts, only admins and team members do. They are rarely altered.

Most often, the discrepancy is from posting in a thread that was moved into off topic. The forum takes a while to recount and verify post counts.
