I am not using Windows 98.

It is Windows XP, I just do not prefer the crappy blue Windows XP skin, so I chose the Windows Classic skin.

My monitor is very old aswell.

Vista isn't bad, but it's still a little buggy.

that means that you have no knowledge about operating systems.

If you have knowledge about operating systems, you would only use xp for gaming.

But yes, Vista is the best windows there is to this far.
And i want to ask you , have you even ever tried / used vista?

I have Vista, and it's pretty nice, but only if you have the rig to run it.

I haven't had any problems with it yet, because I use it on a laptop and it came installed with all the drivers I needed.

I'm not using Vista on my main PC any time soon. XP SP2 works just fine for me.

gaming and programming
anything else -> debian or another linux distribution
and it isnt the best windows...

and yes i tried vista...
i mean things like this: "You are not allowed to copy the folder to program files directly. Please copy it to shared documents and move it from there to program files"
Okay it works then, but why simple when you can use the complicated way...
and vista + wlan + wpa2... forget it.
and yeah i dont want to talk about the other 10.000 security leaks here.
