Half-Life crashed when creating ESF.

i re-install hl, hl1110 update, esf beta 1.0, re-download ESF beta 1.0, use opengl/direct3d, uninstall natural selection, search thru sticky/forums, fmod/dmz fix, tried it in dedicated mode and still can't find the real solution that works. i guess i'm not the only one who experienced this problem... so please anyone...

My specs:
ESF Beta 1.0
Half-Life mod version
Pentium 3 1GHz CPU
128 SDRAM
Matrox Millenium Dual Head G400 Gaphics Card

Are all the files in their proper places? (I had the same problem and i found out it was a few important files in the wrong place.) Or is this something else?

Thanks anyway i finally overcome the problem by experimenting on my own. How?:

* install ESF Alpha 2.0 to c:\sierra\half-life\esf

* create a zip file of the esf folder and add the missing fmod.dll to the zip

* uninstall ESF Alpha 2.0 and delete esf folder

* install ESF Beta 1.0 to c:\sierra\half-life\esf

* create a zip file out of it too , including the new fmod.dll from c:\sierra\half-life\

* uninstall ESF Beta 1.0 and delete esf folder

* uninstall all Half-Life mods, Half-Life game and Sierra Utilities

* reboot pc

* use RegCleaner to delete all Half-life, Sierra, Gearbox, Valve registry entries

* reboot pc again.

* install Half-Life game, then Half-Life 1.1.1.0 patch

* i unzip the files from the zip file i created from ESF Alpha 2.0 installation:

fmod.dll -> c:\sierra\half-life\
the rest of the files -> c:\sierra\half-life\esf

* and then unzip the files from the zip file i created from ESF Beta 1.0 installation:

fmod.dll -> c:\sierra\half-life\
the rest of the files -> c:\sierra\half-life\esf

* create an ESF shortcut -> c:\sierra\half-life\hl.exe -game esf -console -noipx

Now we have fun here playing ESF Beta 1.0 on LAN Cafe. Maybe this should be sticky(soorry for the bad English).
