This is a petition about resisting the people in Iran getting slaughtered because they are rebeling against the election that was faked in Iran lately.

https://secure.avaaz.org/en/iran_stop_the_crackdown/

Maybe it wont help, maybe it will in someway. If that is what we can do currently im saying go for it.

That s**t going on in Iran is f****d up man!! I feel sorry for them. The same happened 2 years ago in Zimbabue i think (I know it was an African country). But people in zimbabwe had to run from the cities, they were beeing tortured just for opposing to Mugabe :-(

This is pointless for one.. and two, I want a revolution over there. They need it.

I'm not signing ****. Hopefully the violent crackdown will piss off protesters enough to go violent and revolt. Though doubtful... a boy can dream, right? :p

If hundreds of thousands of protesters weren't enough to overturn the election results, or quell the violence brought against them, then I strongly doubt an online petition will do anything.

As much as it sucks not being able to do anything, all we can do is wait.

It's terrible that people are dying over this. Honestly, voting should theoretically be the easiest thing. This amount of people want this guy, and this amount of people want that guy, so that guy wins. But I wouldn't be surprised if there were shenanigans on Ahmadinejad's part. And they are getting very bad flack for this crackdown, so hopefully this will force the government to stop avoiding these civil problems and be forced to address it.

Just as long as the US does not step in. It's either "stop meddling in our affairs! America is not the police of the world" or "Why didn't you come to help us? America doesn't care about anyone but themselves". This is Iran's problem and I hope thy can fix it by themselves.

Up until the point you posted the petition here, I never knew it existed. Do you really think people in Iran know this exists...do you even think they care? Unless the entire world population starts massivly email spamming the Iran president, internet petitions won't help ****. Hell, I could sign up 200 times, does that mean 200 individual people signed up? No, and that drastically decreases the credibility of any internet petition. Wanna help them? Think of something unique...pull a Ghandi on them or something.
