I have a very annoying and strange problem in Photoshop CS.

Whenever I go to do some kind of filter, for example gaussian blur. I will get weird colors. However, this only happens when I set the blur to a high number such as 8 where as on a low number such as 1 everything is normal.

Here are some screenshots:

(1) Before Applying

(2) After Applying

-- ALSO --

A similar problem occurs when viewing images in ACDSEE Pro. I will be going through images in the viewer and more often then not images will appear "messed-up" somewhat like in the screenshots above (but not as severe) however with a few hits of the f5 key (refresh) the image will (98% of the time) display normally.

What Is Going On?! and YES I've reinstalled many times.

Yea...I seriously doubt it is a legit copy, I even see a little kazaa lite icon in ur
active programs bar :p. If it is legit, then I have no idea. Maybe you should "buy"
another copy....

Yes, it was a blue K. It was also a circle and looks like this
, not a square. Either help the man, or leave it be, simple as that.

Its teamspeak RC2, and teamspeak Server..and Volume... not sure what the last one is.. I've seen it before though on my pc XD,
perhaps it has something to do with you're windows version?...
that's the classic theme, Either you have it applied on you're winXP or just have win 2k or below... If you got WinXP perhaps you have SP2?...
Try getting another copy of PS CS.. assuming you spent about 1 to 3 hours of you're time 6_6...

my only advice would be to fiddle with the actual images format and colour settings D:

Yes, it is a legit copy.

The icons are: Teamspeak Client, Teamspeak Server, Volume, & some hardware thing.

I use WinXP SP2

I have my comp running for best performance since I run servers n what not.

FYI Ware P2P is fairly legit (for now), I got it off of Download.com

I use it for music not programs.

I used to have that wallpaper ^_^. Ok, since its a legit copy, i suggest maybe trying an
older version, but if you must have cs, then maybe exchange it from where you got it. You
maybe have gotten a corrupt disk, or a really buggy one :p. I
have never seen anything like that honestly. Its really wierd. I
also dont have cs, i use 7, sorry i cant help :(.

Acually, the image has a error. Try rescanning it. Try to paint on it, if that work's, then there is something with the filter tools. 2, your mother board is broke.

downloading music is in no way ligitimate unless you pay for it, and since my neighbor has warez p2p, i can varify that you dont have to pay for any downloads >_>

on topic: what image settings do you have? ie. filetype, 8bit/16bit etc?

Make sure your system is up to date and scan for any virus'. Also does it do it on all pictures or just that one?

Yeah, Satan, didn't you have a few threads back about a month ago complaining about spyware? That may be the problem, more than likely.

EDIT: You could also try buying it. Then you could call Adobe's support line.

I've reformatted since then and I fixed it before that even.

FYI - I actually did purchase it. I had an illegal copy of PS7 but I liked it so much I bought CS.

Hmm. You wouldn't happen to be overclocking your video card, would you? I've seen similar graphical mess in games when people have done that.

My video card is a GeForce 6800 OC (Over Clocked) but other than that, no I haven't done any overclocking myself.
