Open GL prob?

ok i switched my video mode to OpenGL [from Direct3D]... everything is ok [smoother in game] but when i exit the game, my monitor goes blank-->black [no background/mouse pointer/etc... possibly crashed?] and now i find myself rebooting everytime i play esf... what's the problem? or is this normal?

I used to have the same problem, And i've managed to fix it but it takes a while. First go into files and look for stuff in ESF you don't need, also check to make sure its not in a folder its not supposed to be in.

what kind of files [esf] are you talking about starwin? i uninstalled and redownloaded everything [hl,hl1110,esf] yesterday cuz i thought that was the prob...
