Odd crashing problem

I go to the server selection part of the game where I find a server I want to join, then I find a server I want to join, once I double click most of the time I get this:

Once the connect screen (what you see in my screen shots) comes up, it will stay at 118 secs until the game crashes and I get that error. Does anyone have any suggestions, tips, comments or help? I love the game, and this is the only problem I get with it, I just want to correct it.

Hmm, maybe you need to update your woncomm.1st? I had the same problem and had to do the same thing.

What exactly is that, and how do I update it?

I don't think his woncomm.1st is the problem... this is a half life issue. I would suggest updating your video drivers, changing some video settings, and seeing if it works after all that. If not, I would make sure Half Life was updated. Check those things and see if they're all up to date.

I reinstalled Half-Life and ESF just for the heck of it, and I still have the same issue. Changing video settings does nothing, and I have great drivers (40.72s) for my Ti4600. I have always had the latest HL patch installed, so I know that is not the issue either.

I don't think it's the woncomm.1st because he had a WON auth

I don't know the problem ... happens this only if you wanna join an internet game ???
does it happen if you make a internet server ???
does it happen if you make a LAN server ???

try a lil bit more
