Odd crashing problem :

For some reason (This only accurse with ESF on an Internet Server) my hl crashes. This happens when in a server for 15-20 minutes, then my hl just bums out on me and crashes. There's no warning. I'm playing and all of the sudden i'm back to my desktop. I can't quite figure it out. And yes i tried reinstalling it. Can someone help me out here
P.S.- If There is a thread on this already, srry. I look a bunch of times and couldn't find it :\ .

Try changing video modes, and make sure your video card is updated to the most recent drivers. If that doesnt work, might be an overheating problem (doubtfully) try more fans, dusting your computer, or moving it to a more open space.

It could be a popup and then ESF doesnt show up on the bottom.. that happens to me a lot and I just restart it..

If its a pop-up... thats messed up. I have Norton. And its not the video screen because its at optimal. I can't go higher. I can go lower, but its makes the game run slower, so its not that... i'm still clueless. And if it IS a pop-up that's doing it... i'm getting my money back. Norton's supposed to be great :\ . I'm still lost. I'll full around with my video settings and my firewall and see what happens. Thx

You could describe it with more detail.. just get a popup stopper, works for me.......sometimes.. :|

What do you want me to discribe. HL literaly just vanishes and i'm back to the desktop, in a blink of an eye. And its not a pop-up. Why should a pop-up only occur when i'm playing ESF? Well if this problem gets worse (like if this happened with all my games) then i'm going to call verison. Frankly, verison is good but they get way too many problems :\

When your playing ESF, the popup stopper doesnt work.. I think its some bug theyre going to fix..

Ok, now THAT you shoud've said the first time. Thats something i would've liked to know when i first got ESF. I might as well turn my firewall off when playing, jeez. Thx alot for all that helped. But i'd still like to know WHY it happens at the exact time around 15-20 minutes, and not just randomly...

Heh, we've already established that its NOT a popup dark. What are your specs man, Did you update your video and sound card drivers? Do you have the latest version of directX? Answer all that and i might be able to help you
