This has the potential to be very, very cool. It's a space game that will have the usual stuff like space battles, mining, trading, and whatever, but each spaceship will feature a 16 bit computer that controls the entire ship. In what I think is a clever next step from Minecraft, players can create / trade / sell programs for these virtual computers. Even make viruses for 'em.

I normally wouldn't touch an MMO with a ten foot pole, but this looks really interesting.

I just hope Notch won't drop the game (leaves) just like he did with Minecraft.

Notch left Minecraft?

Also this game sounds like some parts with the computer may be above the average gamers head. Does sound interesting though

Notch Leaves Minecraft Development, Bergensten Is in Charge

Markus Persson, aka Notch, has announced that he is no longer the leading developer working on Minecraft and that the reins of the indie hit have been passed to Jens Bergensten, one of his long time collaborators working at Mojang.

Notch Leaves Minecraft For New Project

Other than that. I am interested how the game will look and be gameplay wise.

Well, minecraft is still working out fine. I think it's better without notch. They added a lot of things and honestly, I liked them better.
Not saying that I don't <3 Notch :p.

Ontopic:
New MMO is gonna rock with the emulated DCPU-16 (or something ???).
I can't program in assembler-like languages but if it turns out to be an advantage. I will.

Notch didn't truly leave Minecraft. He still does work on it and still talks about it. He is still questioned on it before an update is made.

On to the new game: I can't wait to see how it goes. It looks very interesting!

Minecraft is pretty much done anyway. The only things that really need to be done are the couple of game modes that they wanted to release, and some more utilities to use for building ****.
