Noob in over his head. Help? =D

I just want to play by myself. I've installed 1.2 and set the shortcut up.
Game starts.. i go to console..... and there is just a text line for codes.

I just want to play by myself, what am i supposed to do here?

need abit more information are you using steam or are you just using it without anything and also can you exit from the console by pressing Escape or ~ ?

try B1.2.1 ... the bots are built in the main dlls in this patch
in B1.2.1 you've got an option for "LAN only" ... check that and start a game with bots

in B1.2: just start the game and type sv_lan 1

So you are saying that you double-clicked on the shortcut, the game starts up and you press the "console" option at the top of the screen.

If you want to play ESF by yourself, you must go to "Multiplayer" -> "Lan Games" -> "Create Game". There, you can choose which map you would like to play and with how many players and stuff. When you're done, you just press "ok" and then the game starts, with only you and you're able to add bots to the game.

Oh, and you said that you installed 1.2 right? You might want to get the patch. Read the stickies, it's there somewhere.
