Constant Swoop:
Double Tap to start swooping, hit "left" once and you swoop left w/o double tap or a pause. Removing the need to double tap to change direction within a swoop.

14-Way System:
Current: Forward(F) Right(R) Left(L) Back(B) Up(U) Down(D)
Idea: Add FR FL BR BL FU FD BU BD

Pcjoe would get what I'm saying.

It isn't a bad idea, and actually at one point we were considering the idea. At least the constant swooping, but you know what. Once you practice at it, the constant double tapping swoop is really quite simple.

I don't think the Constant Swoop is a bad idea, but I don't like the 14-way idea. It's just... too many directions. =P
I like the current system a lot, so I'd stick with it.

Theres no reason for you to actually use the new directions, it would be a plus fo rhte people who want them though.

Four directions + mouse = infinite variations on swooping angles.

Eh I think the double tap is a little bit better atm just because it makes it more difficult to chain swoop, and as such it takes you longer to really get it down right. It'd just be frustrating to me if it was that easy to change directions and you had people doing it last second by just hitting one button instead of two to get out of something.

I like the way it is, simply because it is another thing "noobs" just can't seem to get a hang of. I don't want this mod turning into a newbie friend|y beast >_O I wanna be rewarded for being skilled : )

i like the Constant Swoop, but the other one is a little use less, becourse swooping FR would be the same as when swooping F you just could move your mouse a little to the R or L

I was actually checking the forums to see if anyone had suggested the Constant Swoop. If not, I would have. Thumbs up.

Yeah this is better for longer gameplay. (not to sound whiney) I found after a long time play of the new swooping my fingers begun to hurt from double tapping all the time lol.

actually i agree with sonic.. i'd like the 14 direcitons.. i mean what if you had the player in your sight, and u want to swoop up left to get around him to hit him from the side.. if you use your mouse it'd be hard to see where he was.. if u could keep your screen on him while swoopin up left then switch to up right that would be much better to hit your opponent

I like both ideas as well. There are many times where I wished I could go forward/left or forward/up.

The double tap gives the mod more of a DBZ Style imo. There is that dramatic pause before another battle ensues. Constant swooping would be cool though, don't know about the 14-way thing, but I think I get the general idea. :D

You can swoop down. At least, I can... double tap crouch.

Well, I like to chain-swoop. I've not mastered it yet, but I'm getting better and better. The one thing I love doing is swooping back when they swoop at you, and before you hit a wall or something, you chainswoop into their face. Hahaha, they never see it coming.

I'm telling you that if you dodge every car you'll never take any damage from them. Double tap makes it take a little longer which means you have to anticipate when to do it instead of just slamming a key and avoiding damage.

I don't mind much about the longer time because usually you know where an attack is comming from and plan ahead. But I do like the idea sonic but mostly because with about 50+ ping its actually much slower than it needs to be. With a single tap after swooping I think it would def fix the ping balancing issues. (although i still do not like the newbie friendly position it puts chain swooping in)

As for the 4 directions + mouse = infinite..... yeah well 14 way system... yeah well 14+mouse = infinite + 14... so yay!
