Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus

Publisher: Square Enix
Platform: PlayStation 2
Genre: RPG
Origin: Japan
Release: 2005

Square Enix announced a new PS2 RPG called Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus, a sequel / spinoff of Final Fantasy VII. The story takes place one year after the events in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, in which you play as Vincent Valentine from FFVII, to battle against a group of enemies named the "Dirge of Cerberus", who started to attack the city.
This game is a part of the company's Compilation of Final Fantasy VII strategy, which pursues polymorphic vision. Square Enix mentioned that this game will unfold the mysteries around the Final Fantasy VII world.

The main character Vincent Valentine is a powerful gunner who born on October 13, he was put into a long sleep, atoning for past sins; until Cloud woke him up in the Shinra mansion in Nibelheim.

Square know the public loves their ff7 the most, and now it seems they are starting to milk the ff7 series :p
I can see this game being like DMC, except without a sword and with a story heh.

Gah, if they really want to milk FFVII for all it's worth, then they ought to make a damn remake. I'd buy it, infact, I bet almost every RPG fan on the Earth would buy it. I got excited when I saw the topic name thinking they'd done just that, but alas, it seems I'll have to keep waiting and hoping...
