New drivers = windows rebooting.

Yoyo, this thread is gonna make me eat my words about my fave gfx cards- buuuuut:

I've just installed new drivers for my 4870, to 8.12 I think, restarted like it suggested and now when it gets passed the windows loading screen and goes into the login screen it just restarts back to boot and loads up to the login screen.

Any ideas? I cbf formatting coz i got alot of new content on my hdd?

Also im having issues getting into safe mode in x64 xp? any ideas on that too?

Also, you uninstalled the drivers first, rebooted and then installed the new ones?

nah x64 xp has a gay time getting into safe mode, i got it eventually, uninstalled reinstalled etc etc
