I don't think it's only because of beamspam or "being better" I think it's more like the show (duh) and it will make fights more interesting. Like you could be spectator and say like "ow he's a goner he's out of KI" or "Wtf is he doing? that's gonna drain all his energy!" You see it would be fun and interesting.

Even though recharging KI adds to the strategy of the game, this system could further improve it, without having to recharge. Why I say this is this. Since with this system, melee doesn't cost KI, generic beams cost very little, and signature moves cost an extreme amount of KI. This makes you think twice on what to do, like should you melee the person, generic his ass, or take him out with a signature move. Each scenerio has it's ups and downs.
For instance:
  1. If you use melee, your exposed to Small KI wave attacks.
  2. If you use Generic Beams, you might get hit by a meleer from behind, or from the side.
  3. Now, if you use a Signature move, you're more open to attack, and once you do the attack, your KI will be drained and you'll still be open to attack.

Thats what I was saying. It will be much more interesting. And not spamable. Maybe spamable strategies but no lame spammed tricks.

This is a very nice well thought out idea. I agree with what that guy said about negative ki, only slow movements not stop entierly. Only thing i don't like is turbo draining health. It should only drain health if you charge it up too much (like goku's 100x kaioken ect). Also flying should not drain ki, but if you run out of ki you stop flying. Lastly, if you can increase your PL there should be an option to decrease it aswell, as if to hide your power level.

Well, the system does sound interesting, but it sounds more of a suggestion for a project just lifting off, not one thats already well into beta. It kinda sounds like a whole new game all together.

This is a well thought out idea that i would love to see because i am bored of the Cell beam spamming (beam cannon) then transing and getting more kills..
its just *** after a while....

its just *** instantly if you ask me. I hate lame ways to get PL. And I always play Vegeta (who knew?). So if they need less PL and get it with cheap tricks they're really lame.
On-topic: Health should drop if your KI reaches like 1/5 of its max. That way if you powerup too much you get demaged.
