need help with playing!

i got tired of trying to validate so first off im sorry this isnt in the help section.

anyways i have Earth Special Forces Reversed v1.1 Package installed, and half life, but esf isnt in my games list.

There is a reason you are required to validate to be able to post in the Help Section. It proves you have bought Half-Life and available for you on Steam, which helps us narrow down the problem.

If something is indeed stopping you from Validating even though you have Half-Life on Steam, PM http://forum.esforces.com/members/3086-Skyrider and he should be able to help you out.

Until then, we will not be able to offer you any help.

i had to change my steam profile name to my esf account name
so now that im verified, i demand help.


the next time i see someone hurt or in need of medical assistance im going to ask if they are verified
kinda like immigration papers.

Did you run Half-Life once before installing ESF? Also make sure the installation directory is the right one.

And restart Steam, that is important.

yes i did all of that.

this is the directory, exept i used my steam account email

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\[email protected]\half-life\esf

i dont need blue shift or opposing force do i?

No, you don't need to add it as non-steam. If you installed correctly ESF should've shown up. And yes, you only require Half-Life.

Restart STEAM.

STEAM has some issues with HL1 mods, so that they dont show up until you restart STEAM and let it refresh the list.

i dont think restarting steam is the problem.

i reinstalled steam and half life, then Earth Special Forces Reversed v1.1 Package.
but i still dont have the game on my list. even after multiple restarts.

can you type the path to the esf.ico file from your steam account directory onward?

Thats because all the servers are ESF 1.2.3 not ESF 1.1 so thats normal. As for the maps, thats weird. Do you have the .BSP files in the esf/maps directory?

Actually, I'm the go-to guy for validation issues, since it's my software.

it looks like there are maps but they are .ESF_wpt files

.wpt files are bot waypoint files. Those are not the maps. The Maps are all .bsp files.
