need alot of help i got steam and 1.2.1 but when i start game it says bad dll.....

ok i installed the 1.2.1 but when i did that i had to find the file so i went to c:/sierra/halflife and i tryied to install it to the esf file but i would not let me so i just sent it to the halflife file. THen when i started up steam and go it going i could only find the esf under the server list and not under my playgame. So any way when i tryed to join a game , when it would start up it would show the half life game screen and not the esf game screen then it would give me a message saying that .dll[-dlls\client.dll] differs from servers so what do i do.

tried joining different servers? it might just be that the server has a different version from yourself.

i did i tryied alot of differnet severs i tried join like 30 differnet games and they all say the same thing

for somereson , at this internet cafe i am at , i still can't gewt steam to work , it's not in the play games list , help some1 ? (I JUST WANT TO PLAY ONLINE SO BADLY , GETTING TIRED OF PLAYYING BOTS OVER & OVER)

I have this same problem. Please fix it. I have also tried to join many servers. My installation went like this. I currently had Half-Life installed and working. I downloaded ESF 1.2, installed it. Downloaded patch for 1.2.1, installed it. Attempted to play, got the .dll[-dlls\client.dll] differs from servers error. Give us some help please.

FMOD.DLL needs to go into your half life folder
