Naruto vs DBZ

thanks [eD]!, and i wouldnt classify what i said as what you people would call a "spoiler". lots of people get kicked in the face in Naruto(is that a spoiler too?)

thats like saying, "omg did you see the way sasuke threw that kunai in episode 1, omg that pwned"(he didnt throw a kunai in episode one, just in case the spoiler whores were wondering)
and if you say anything about the show its a "spoiler" to someone who hasnt seen it.
so just give it a rest.

Saying almost anything about the series "is a spoiler."

Sakura, Naruto and Sasuke are a team. OMG SPOILER.
Kakashi is their jounin sensei. OMG SPOILER. etc.

I'm pretty sure no one is going to go hungry sitting in a corner crying because they now know that Naruto kicks Gaara. And if someone says that knowing Kakashi is the Sensei is a spoiler, well then they're stupid because I don't think saying something from the first 1-5 episodes counts as a spoiler.

i like naruto much more, the story is a lot more interesting and effortful, and it's a lot better than the saga scheme of dbz

i saw the first 10 eps of naruto and didn't like it. Dbz isn't that great either, but i liked how the storyline went from saiyan saga to end of freiza saga, after that i started to dislike it

Naruto is better hands down over DBZ. Like everyone else is saying it's got the better storyline ect, ect, but lets not forget about eyecandy. It has ninjas, flashy moves, pyrotechnics and some of the freakyest characters I have everseen. Shino and Orchimaru stand out their. It's comic attitude is just icing on the cake.

DBZ has many of the same things you just listed. The reason why Naruto is better is it makes better use of them.

Dbz has such a bad story line though, no one ever technically dies, and if they're about to, they go a level higher. Goku loses to Frieza, SSJ. Gohan loses to Cell, SSJ. Goku is weak, SSJ3. Goku loses to Bebi, SSJ4. How stupid is that? In Naruto there is no go Super Naruto or Super Kakashi. Pretty much everyone just stays one level, and if they're not strong enough and they lose, they lose!

While I do agree with you on most of those, you did make some mistakes.
Goku doesn't gain SSJ3 because "he is weak." They don't really explain how he got it, just that he did while in the other world.

In Naruto's case, they do go to unexpected levels as well. Kyubi? Hello? Trying to be as Spoiler-free for anyone who hasn't seen the series.

No, it's not the fact that everyone transforms that keeps them from dying, becuase I beleive almost everyone was killed at least once. It's those pesky dragonballs that they keep using to bring everyone back. It's the one thing that annoys the hell out of me in DBZ, the dragonballs just add to the silliness.

You're not understanding, I'm not saying it's ONLY the transformations, it's everything, the transformations, the "other world", the dragonballs, the things that don't make sense. Like that Goku never wished back his father to see what he was like or something. Or in DB, Roshi's master loses to Piccolo, Piccolo loses to Goku, Then Goku loses to Roshi's master. Everything about dbz is stupid like that.

Don't even bring Dragonball GT into this argument, it's fanfiction, so it doesn't count. Even if it did, just becuase they got "punished" for over-using the dragonballs doesn't redeem the rest of the series.
