Yeah the beginning was wierd, but after that it was great!! ...until I realised they weren't going to show the fight.

I didn't really like the intro music though... it just didn't seem very Naruto like?
maybe I've just got used to the previous opening theme "Yura Yura" by Hearts Grow.
I liked their one a lot more. :smile:

Also, people who spell it "Naruto Shippuden" annoy me... I thought for a while it would have something to do with Naruto travelling on a boat.

My thoughts for the decision to include the spoiler would be that the manga doesnt exactly jump into the Sasuke vs Naruto thing right away, my best guess is they've included this to hook people into the series, and to keep them watching they've left it up in the air as to weather or not Sasuke will actually kill Naruto this time.

Well, I just finished episode 3.

Im tired of these flashbacks. Like, a quarter of the 25 minute episode is flashbacks, and then like another quater is the intro/ending.

I mean, I didnt think it would take more then 1 episode to finish the Naruto/Sakura vs. Kakashi. I mean, its not that long

Yeah, they should bring the fillers back...they were much better..:S

If things sped by at a mile a minute like everybody wants them to, we're going to end up with another 80 filler episodes..

If you cant handle the pacing of the anime, either read the manga, or just wait until shinppuuden is over, so you can watch them all at once instead of waiting for one episode every week.

Im not saying the fillers were better (they sucked..) but, im also saying there going too much into flashbacks, I mean, you wait all week then its basically like watching a episode youve already seen.

I dont care if they dragged out the Sakura/Naruto vs. Kakashi fight, I would have no problem with it. I just wanna see new stuff, not stuff ive already seen.

There just starting a new series, and im surprised they havent started things off with a bang to get people back into it and bring ratings up.

Dude, have you even seen Naruto?

Its full of these kinds of flashbacks, and far more frequently then shown in Shinppuuden so far.

Naruto was jam packed full of them, they aren't anything new.

As for starting off with a "bang" the Anime follows the manga, which doesnt exactly start off with a flying ninja leap.

But what do you think that spoiler at the start of ep1-2 was?

They certainly didnt put it in there by accident, and that part of the story wont be resolved for quite some time.

As said by Prozac, it's to feed the Sasuke fanatics. Seems completely pointless though, as that is supposed to happen after the Akatsuki arc.

I didnt suffer that much from these flashbacks =/
Yeah, they were a bit annoying but it doesnt make prefer the fillers.

Besides it's a bit understandable...without those flashbacks the episode will be sumed up in 10 minutes or less, and I wouldnt rather the Anime to catch up to the Manga again.

I found out the reason why they released a major spoiler at the beginning.
They plan on recycling the scene on the actual episode, flashbacks included. ;o
Fighting was very slow in the second episode, also the animation was not so good at all =(
Old naruto pre-filler was better than this. I don't remember tsunade and the others watching them in the manga.. ? Could someone verify that? Some things don't really match the manga.
Or maybe my memory is just overestimating how good the manga was.

They didnt use it just because they were going to re-use it, they used it because the start of the manga is rather slow to take off, and a little boring.

Including it raised the question "Will Sasuke actually kill Naruto?" which encourages people to watch every week and see what goes down.

The animation was fine, movement could of been a little smoother, but the characters maintained proper proportions throughout, and even during the perspective shots, it looked much better than the third episode of Naruto.

People need to remember, this is tv animation, and its produced rather quickly, I'll complain along with you when it actually switches to the poor animation.

And about Tsunade and the others watching, who cares, even if they weren't they're dragging it out so we dont get another never-ending filler saga.

And I'm just fine with that.

They could've fit in the kakashi fight by removing the spoiler and kanohamaru scenes, even if it were half way through the fight, it'd still do the same thing.

Real fans of the anime usually read the manga and would already know the answer to that question, most likely put that there for the young ones to go "OMG SASuKE! WAIT! NO NOT NARUTO!!"
But then again, you're right about the dragging out stuff to not catch up with the manga.

As long as they don't make anymore crappy naruto movies and keep their cash on production the animation probably won't change that much.
Either way, I'ma stop watching narutu.

I've already stopped reading the manga a while back, shikimaru is just keeping the manga alive for me, but I just cant continue with what the author is doing.
I'ma keep the 1-153 episodes on my computer though, its nice to watch sometimes.

Who caught the latest episode?

To be honest, this to me felt like a filler episode, sure the Kakashi vs Naruto and Sakura "fight" was resolved, but apart from that the only thing we learned was that Deidara takes ages to make little flying bird explosives..:S

The animation was sub-standard, but it could of been alot worse, the characters still looked like themselves.

I hated the pacing of this episode, and it really dragged for me.

Meh I feel that the makers are taking the long and tried Dragonball Z route of making short story long to avoid filler chains. So anyway yeah the latest episode dragged. But it was nice seeing Kakashi whooped for once. Yet the end wasn't what I wanted it to be.

Kakashi is obsessed with Jiraiya's book, tho' it isnt quite different from what I would have done if I got my hand on a good book from a series like the Wheel of Time.
What is Deidara trying to do... an Akatsuki member should be stronger
And Gaara looks ready to release Shukaaku or was his name shikaaku?.

I dont wanna read the manga since that'll mean spoiling everything for myself like i did with Bleach. Maybe thats just me.:fight:

Oh my God, when I saw Gaara jump onto the sand to lift himself into the air, I cringed from the awkwardness of the animation there.

I read the manga, still do.

It was the only thing that got me through that god awful Filler saga

As long as things dont reach the "Five minutes untill Namek explodes" level of filler, where it actually impacts upon the storyline, I guess I'm fine with it.

As for spoilers, they're allowed in this topic.

(I'm guessing if they're only related to the weekly episode, and not super far ahead manga spoilers)

Edit: @ Deman, I agree, the character animators, while definitely not the worst seen on Naruto, we'rent doing that well, however the effects animators were doing a great job in a few scenes, where some of the sand looked pretty awesome.

lol, She looks like something that we get after a huge funimation cut or something. That isn't how a 15 year old should look. When you're fifteen in anime, you are tall, orange haired, beat up bad guys and change into a Black dressed Soul Reaper by night and switch bodies with a perverted possessed toy. Or you are short, crazy haired, naive and well able to take on an army of soldiers and cyborgs. Mot to mention the tail.

Spoilers are allowed, yeah I read that, but I prefer this way seeing as if any unweary user came by here, I don't wanna feel bad about spoiling it for him. Besides, I dont read Naruto manga to give out uber l33t information as such.

SpoilerI actually felt pity for Orochimaru. Showing those flashbacks of Orochimarus past when he was just a happy kid, gets me a feeling that he is going to die.
The latest chapter definately takes things to a new level...

Anime is around the Halfway of the chapter 253, it was left in the page 13 to ve exact. Altough the last page of the that chapter has already been shown...

Heres small summary of few future chapters i made myself...
After Chiyo tries to attack Kakashi, Naruto stops her with his kagebunshin and is all like WTF. Then Chiyo sees that it was not Konohas white fang she originally though it was. Then Sakura removes most of the poison directly off Kankurous body and creates 3 antidotes from sands greenhouse and uses one on Kankurou. Kankurou wakes up and informs Kakashi of a piece of clothing from Sasori he caught in Karasus hand. Kakashi uses his dogs to follow the scent from that cloth. While travelling to the scene, Chiyo explains about Jinchuurikis and bijuus(shortly, Jinchuuriki=Demon host, like Naruto and Gaara and Bijuu=Demon, like Shukaku and Kyyubi), And that Jinchuuriki dies after Bijuu has been extracted from them... etc

I dont want to write anymore... But havent you read the Manga already? At least you have posted in this thread few times already...

I had a friend otaku keep telling me about the story... but he stopped when shippu got out. Anyway he only came to the part about Chiyo. thanks btw. I'm gonna start reading it myself now. :|
