And yeah... Itachi still manages to impress. I also like the flashback about the hunting trip.

Yeah, I actually really like the bromance in this chapter! And Kabuto is so dangerous, he countered the Uchiha's powers great!

True. It't still very much an open battle. If Kabuto decides to change tactics and try to capture and "rewrite" Itachi then Sasuke has to protect his elder brother.

All the eye jutsus are named after Japanese figures in mythology izanami and izanagi are the mother and father of the world who gave birth to amatateratsu, susano'o, and tsukiomi.... Pretty badass.



Itachi turned out to be a better character then I thought. Earlier I couldn't stand him. Now I started to like him a lot based on how he is and acts.

Damn it son, I'm disappoint! Amaterasu, Susano-o and Tsukiyomi! The jutsu Izanagi is defensive and protects the caster, makes reality an illusion i.e dying -> not dying. Izanami, seems to be the opposite so it's offensive and affects the target, making illusion reality i.e I want you to die -> You die. This is a big ass pull and sounds to good to be true, but however...Izanami should essentially be a 1 hit K.O. However I still see Kabuto "surviving" it.

Itachi is a badass mofo!

Well Itachi has 2 shots considering that although he's dead he has limitations in using both kinjutsu.

I haven't read the latest chapter yet, but I just wanted to point out ~*~*~*~*~*~that one specific site~*~*~*~*~* has apparently started to release scans of the weekly chapters for a limited time each week.

Wow, thanks for that information Damaera, I just looked very swiftly and it's true! That's great news indeed. I thought the chapter was good, but when introducing this backstory, Kishi is retconning a whole lot. Hopefully we will get an explanation later on. Maybe it's Izanami's effects?! No one knows!

I really like how he tells Kabuto's story. It's quite interesting and i don't mind the pause from the battle.
Also about manga stream... they'll be hosting the chapter for 60hours before deleting the files. But surely you can read manga chapters elsewhere just as fast.

Also about Izanami is because of Japanese mythology .. as you can see here the Uchiha jutsus are named from the Japanese mythology's god names... in other words the Uchiha might still have jutsus we haven't seen.. is it what Itachi will show Sasuke later? Will Itachi use more than Izanami in this battle? Madara, Tobi? Who is Tobi.. ahh all this tension.. We'll see! I'll try to keep myself updated on this forum from now on, or well at least the thread!

And one question, Sasuke possesses EMS (Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan) will the Izanami/Izanagi blind him at use? I mean it says ETERNAL ...

Another question, in order to obtain EMS you need to take the eyes of your kinsmen... did anyone ever consider switching eyes? I mean both Madara and his brother possessed Mangekyou in the end.. just me?

I wouldn't say that. This battle(flashbacks included) drags as much as it does because Kabuto is stronger than they imagined. I wouldn't call a Sage weak.
As for his story... i like it. And i believe that he deserves his life to be explained a bit since he's one of the main antagonists.
Just my 2 cents.

But it's being so obvious that he had a ****ed up childhood, why else would he end up with Orochi? lol

I can assure you if Itachi JUST wanted to kill he could do it.. same when he fought Sasuke (His real death). Itachi likes to mind**** you.
