And how much did you pay?
Jealousy detected!

Seriously, we have enough whiny *****es on the internet going "OMG0$H HOW MUCH $$$$$?" that they should be shot at the very mention of it. Its like me asking how much did you pay for your car?

Silly question expects silly answer.

5000 euro's, your turn. How much did you pay for it? I'd like to know how hard I have to facepalm myself.

I don't see what's wrong a question like that. Unless your profession depends upon it, I could argue that a pimped out computer is luxury or just for having the best for the sake of having the best. It also helps put things in perspective to see how efficiently a person can shop. Maybe if your price is relatively low that would say positive things about your discretion. But if one user is in a situation where "money is no object" and another has to chose more carefully when spending +$2,000, it's not unreasonable for the more frugal user to react to high prices for a computer.

That, and you don't start bragging about how good your computer is compared to someone elses and then start crawling back when somebody asks a price. And on a side note, I don't see people all that often going "OMG0$H HOW MUCH $$$$$?" more than often I see people going "LULZORS, CHECK MY PC SPECZZZ, THEY ARE BIGGERER AND BETTERER THAN URS!!! LOL". And in the end they have only a measly Pentium 4.

I'm just sayin'.

Bragging detected!

Seriously, we have enough ****y *****es on the internet going "OMG0$H LOOK AT MY EPEEN0R?" that they should be shot at the very mention of it. Its like me talking about how cool my new house is?

Bragging posts should expect that.

Seriously though:

I like high performance, but I like it at a reasonable price point. There are people who want the highest possible performance. Fine. There are people who brag with it. Fine. But don't get all butthurt when someone ask how much you spent on that rig.
Unless you'd have to realize how much money you wasted just to be able to brag.

Wow. This thread is beginning to turn me on. In the popular form of a double negative; Don't stop.

To make this post ontopic, I guess I'll post my PC specs

It's an 18" HP Pavilion dv8.
Intel Core i7 Q720 1.60 gHz
8 gigs ram
nVidia GeForce 230M
600 gb hdd
1920 x 1080 display
Bluray player included
Nothing spectacular, got it for 900 usd.

I got it because I wanted a fairly inexpensive laptop which would play video games when I was bored, do my school work, and allow me to watch my favorite shows. It's my portable entertainment system.

That's quite the capable computer you have there (and for a low price at that), Brosiris, except for the graphics card.

That's really no surprise, most companies cut costs on laptops by giving them less than stellar graphics cards.
