my console dons not work??

ok my console does not work i have no idea y but if any one know how to fix it that would help me a lot thx

C: \SIERRA\Half-Life\hl.exe -console -game esf

then press `to drop it

My god child, dont double post *hides cause not supposed to do admin stuffs* For anyone that still needs help on this what you do is go to Properties in the shortcut you use to get into half-life and at the end hit space once and type -console apply the changes and boom every time you start HL you have console in all you mods and suchforth.
