Favorite genre: Metal and most forms of it, but especially Death, Black, Progressive, and more recently Power and Folk Metal
Favorite Band: Lamb of God, Mark Morton and Willie Adler are guitar gods in my eyes. Those guys riff like no other and Mark can solo like the wind can blow air. Chris Adler is just amazing at drums, even watching him play Lamb of God songs is amazing (check YouTube). John Campbell is a great guy and to be able to keep up with the fast riffs and blasting drums is quite amazing. Last but not least Randy Blythe should be ****ing president. That guy can scream in any way, shape, and tone.
Favorite song: 11th Hour by said favorite band.

My taste in music is a little unorthadox. Or at least most of my friends seem to think so. Essentially I like rock, but I like all forms, everywhere from the beach boys, to Van Halen, to Twisted Sister, to Tool, to Children of Bodom to name a few.

Rock is my personal preference, I'll listen to anything but country, as it gives me a headache.

Tool would probably be my band of choice at the moment. Vicarious is just, well it's just amazing to say the least. I went to a Tool Concert with my GF and just wow, they're amazing.

Even though I enjoy almost all types of metal (except for black metal), my absolute favorite genre is classic heavy metal, meaning the heavy metal of the 70's and 80's. Favorite band, as probably everyone knows, is Black Sabbath, as for the song, I can't possibly name just one, so here's a list (not in any particular order):

N.I.B.
Sabbath, Bloody Sabbath
Hole in the Sky
Snowblind
Into the Void
Behind the Wall of Sleep
War Pigs
Electric Funeral
Killing Yourself to Live
A National Acrobat
Rat Salad
Symptom of the Universe
Never Say Die!

And one of the most awesome that I forgot: AFTER FOREVER!!

Actually anything I like, it's not really down to one genre. Though electronic music is what I listen to most.
No trance or stuff like that, rather house, tech-house, minimal and electronica.

I like Drum & Bass, Ambient/Downtempo, Hip-Hop, Rap, and a little Trance.

Drum & Bass: Aphex Twin, LTJ Bukem, Squarepusher, Danny Byrd, J Majik

Ambient/Downtempo: Fat Jon, Nujabes, Force of Nature, DJ Shadow, Future Sound of London

Hip-Hop - Pete Rock, 9th Wonder, A Tribe Called Quest, Blackstar (Mos Def & Talib Kweli), Kanye West

Rap: Nas, Jay-Z, DJ Premier, Three 6 Mafia, MF Doom, Wu Tang Clan

Trance: Anything with no vocals.

The above are just examples of artists who have more than one good song.

Anything that has some kind of artistic merit. I hate slapped together songs merely produced for profits sake. From Mozart to Prodigy, Bob Seger to NIN, Hardhouse to DnB. I just like music that comes from the heart and has some technicality involved. To limit yourself to genre seems closedminded imo. You should dislike a piece of art individually.
