hello i am new here my name is Anil. its been a while since i have had this game, directly installed 1.2.3, i tried using the mp3 player by pressing f8. nothing seems to come up, once i edited one of the text or ini files in the folder, then when i pressed f8 during game play the player did come up, but no song was there. plz someone give my a newbie direction from the begining to resolve this issue.

go to option /advance x on mp3player or in the game mp3player 1 if this does not work you kind of instaled esf whiout mp3 , or go in to the directory half-life/esf/mp3 and start mp3player.exe and it suld work and if there's muzic there then you instaled whit the mp3 and you can add muzic in there

how come i have no mp3player.exe, i only have some rusticate and other music files and PlaylistEditor2_2.exe file. i did install wit mp3s but damn this sucz. so do u know what to do?

Wow dude....your making the whole thing confusing with all this exe stuff.
Follow :

1)Re-install Earths Special Forces
2)Run the Game
3)Click on options
4)On the 1st tab which is Multiplayer look for a button called "Advanced"
5)After you've clicked on that you'll see a variety of Check Boxes.
6)Look for the one that says MP3 Player...Tick it and you should be fine.
7)Open a server and press F8 [default] To activate it.

Im 80% sure that that's the solution to your problem...need more help?? PM me,i'd be glad to help ^.^

can you open playlisteditor2_2.exe in there you can select what mozic you want and to enable it just type in console mp3player 1

couldnt find the hs/cs steam location
the program ends now

Open the file named playlist.txt

In there you have to type the paths to the songs. ESAMPLE: C:/mp3/songname.mp3

For every song like that.

Than ingame open the console and type in cl_mp3player 1

Than press F8

Oh and BTW are you using STEAM?

seriously thank you. the musics are working by editing the playlist.txt, well i try opening playlist editor, but it still gives me the error. putting in the filenames through the text file could be a pain in the butt, so is there any easier ways. thx anyways the music just makes the game better. btw does nebody know how to hack the cf in the game so i can do my change form without increasing it. the reason is i play lan game with some bots and i would enjoy it to play without having the trouble to increase my cf.

There is no way to hack the CF. Since CF isnt anything more than an indicator. The PL is important.

There is a powerlevel plugin for AMX http://forum.esforces.com/showthread.php?t=65033

Thats how to install it.

As for the manual imputs. Thats just that MANUAL.

Automatic would be with the playlist editor. But since that doesnt work i told you how to do it manualy.
Basicly you are just doing what the playlist editor would have done.

Well if the path is the same you can allways copy and paste it.
