I've red some tutorials how to make mountains,but I don't get how it's doing.Can anyone help me with that?

At the begining I thought that everything will be okay.But now I find one more problem.When I created rocks by that tuutorial valve hammer editor wrote when I checked for problems : Invalid structure (tihs is for vertex manipulation)
What should I do that my rocks will work properly
