well this time i have read every single link in the stickys and read through all the post but there is no answer to this so ill ask here if you started a model and then choose to mirror it so you only have to work on one half of it how do you combine those two objects into one and is it even possible, i mean you started by mirroring something and then there are two objects youre face and the mirror face can you make that one object?

Here we go (max user). Select the mirrored half, rightclick > convert to > editable mesh. Select original half, click "attach", select the mirrored half. Select all verts, change the number next to the button "selected" inder small "merge" section to 0.01, and hit selected button. Voila, done.

Or even easier is deleting the mirrored half, going into modifiers and selecting "symmetry". You can make it automatically join the mirrored piece to the original, then you just collapse the stack and it's permanently like that.
