Milkshape 3D problem

I'm having a really freaky, odd problem in Milkshape. In some models when I attempt to rotate the joints for the shoulder, or neck, they'll GROW, and the bones will stretch. I can usually stop this from happening if I change the type of rotation from global to local, but once I do that the rotations change, and are weird and difficult to adjust to.

Any help appreciated.

Ice man: Ask nuttzy, it's his own model.

Nuttzy: Alright... What exactly causes this, though? Crappy program?
